Exploring New Perspectives in Bag Design

This Carmesine design study explores a broad range of fashion bag typologies through a fully digital product development process, from initial concepts to final 3D visualisation. Developed in spring 2025.

From structured handbags and soft knitted forms to shoulder bags and more experimental constructions, each concept was developed with careful attention to proportion, material expression, construction details and functionality. Digital prototyping allowed us to explore different silhouettes, materials and colour directions while maintaining a realistic understanding of the final product.

The gallery offers an insight into our complete design workflow — from research, sketching and colour strategy to digital patternmaking, stitching, virtual sampling and photorealistic product visualisation. It demonstrates how an integrated digital approach supports creative exploration, precise design decisions and efficient communication throughout the development process, preparing each concept for physical sampling and production.
